Tracey Frederiksen MC, LPC, EMDR Certified Therapist
Hi, I am Tracey Frederiksen and I provide counseling services for children, adolescents, adults, and families. I have my Master of Counseling (MC) degree, am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Arizona, and am an EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Certified Therapist.
I have extensive experience as a clinical mental health practitioner. I have a multifaceted approach to my clinical counseling services. I am EMDR Certified which assists in my work with adults and children who have experienced trauma, including complex trauma. I engaged in Sand Tray trainings and classes to best address the children who yet have the cognitive skills necessary to process their thoughts and feelings. This Sand Tray approach can also help to process adverse events in childhood. I have also become very adept in understanding how sensory issues and concerns effect people.
In working with my clients, I meet them where they are. I utilize mindfulness, somatic work, and a myriad of other techniques to best assist attainment of clinical therapeutic goals. If I need to get on the floor with them to help build a Lego fort for a “Safe Place” as a resource, then that is what I will do. I utilize multiple methods to meet their needs, where they have them.
